Shutter Island and Invictus. Appertizer of the weekend

At home..I mean, my bachelor house. It's been a while since the last time I have my weekend here. For the past weeks, most of the Friday night would be spent in the bus. Hee..I don't know quite the reason, but I feel I want to enjoy my weekend just doing..errr..nothing. Plus, without my wife and a few dollars left of the paycheck. Hmmm~~~

My Mom texted me saying that she just met the doctor and was suspected to have high blood pressure. She has been given some pills and the doctor asked Mom to come again after 5 days to see if it's really a high blood pressure or it's just caused by a stress. I asked Mom not to burden her head with the problem. It's easy to say but extremely hard to do, I know. But that's the least I could do.

I woke up this morning lazing around and managed to finished 2 movies;

1. Invictus

The story is about Nelson Mandela, in his first term as the South African President, initiates a unique venture to unite the apartheid-torn land: enlist the national rugby team on a mission to win the 1995 Rugby World. The Full synopsis could be found here. 

Some quote that I like from the movie, "I was thinking How he spent 30 year in jail and out ready to forgive those who put him in there", by one of the rugby player who had the chance to visit Mandela's room in the prison an trying to get the inspiration from Mandela's cruel life journey.

One of Mandela's favourite quote that I like was "I master my own soul, I'm the captain of my own fate".

2. Shutter Island

Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.Full synopsis here.

It's a very twisted-ending movie where at the end you would actually say "Laaaa...". Worth to be downloaded and keep as your favourite movie list.
