Turki Winter Vacation - Day 4 : Jewellery, Mevlana Konya and a long drive to Pamukkale

2nd night in Dinler Hotels was just the same and did not get any better. After the Jeep Safari, everyone was feeling a bit exhausted and when Ahmed told us that we need to be ready at 7:20AM the next morning due to a long drive towards Pamukkale. We will be visiting jewellery shop before heading towards Pamukkale, so we were thinking if we skip the jewellery shop, we might be able to get some time so we could leave the hotel a bit late like around 8 AM.

So after the dinner, I called Ahmed's room and asked if we could skip the jewellery shop as we don't really think we gonna buy any JEWELLERY anyway. But Ahmed kept repeating that we need to take off at 7:20..even if we skip the jewellery shop. So, we just did it the malay way. We just had our breakfast as fast as we could, but not that rush and taking our time. Ahmed gave us time till 7:30 before he reminded us of the timing by coming to our table.

The day was not fully lightened up by the sun yet we reached at the jewellery store which to our amazement, was open and ready to welcome us. Of course la, I think it was their routine during with all the tourists season. We were welcomed by a guy with a crooked moustache and he just briefed us for few minutes and we were free to browse around. My niat during my travel was that, since I could not bring my parents for this trip..I would buy something a bit expensive to compensate on it. So I saw this nice Turkish bracelet and decided to buy one for my mom and that was the chance long awaited by Cembam as she chose one for herself too. Ye lah yelah...bila lagi.. Cembam bought a ceramic clock as a token of memory instead of the usual mug and we hit the road few minutes after that.

We headed towards Konya but we stopped foa a tea-break at a place called Caravan City. It was a historic place where merchants with their caravans long time ago would stop here for a rest and sold their merchandise while having their break. We had our mini shopping and tea-break at a cafe that is just opposite the Caravan City. We then continued our journey and reached Konya not long after that.

We passed something like a convention center with a huge banner about a great turkish dance night which was explained by Ahmed, an annual event to commemorate the birthday of the Mevlana (Maulana) whom is famouse in Konya. Even the ministers are coming to this event every year in Konya. And we were visiting the school where Mevlana used to be the head teacher of it and it was really famous back then where even rich people would come for the 40-day course to cleanse theirselves spiritually.

It was rather chilly, and the coldest so far during the trip that morning. We had to walk for 3 minutes from the parking area towards the Mevlana Muzesi (Museum). Ahmed like usual, eagerly explained to us the story of Mevlana, how he was invited to be the head teacher of the then-school as he was highly regarded by the people of his knowledge and wisdom. Ahmed told us about Mevlana quite detail. After a while he's been managing the school, he met with someone from Iran whom made he felt that he was the other half of him. They complemented each others in their wisdoms, thinking and knowledge. Mevlana was so fond of him that they spent a lot of time together, in fact too much time till everyone started to think that Mevlana has started to neglect his school because of this person.

One day, this person was found murdered. The folks then thought it might caused by the extreme feeling of unhappiness from some group of people or a person seeing how Mevlana has been spending too much time with him. Mevlana was shocked with the death of this person and started to grief for him by locking himself in a dark room. After a while, he started to stand up, putting his right hand towards upward and his left hand towards the earth and start to spin slowwly. Not like the current fast spin of turban dance though. He spun for a while with that pose and found peace in him. That was the origin of the current turban dance which has evolved as we could see today and with the musical background. It started as a meditation kind of move.

So in Mevlana Museum, there were many people praying, doa and I do think those who dont really pray would pray here to get the blessing. There was a case in a glass that was said to have strains of Rasulullah's beard. There's an L-shape building where it used to be the classes for the students. The doors were built so low that you need to bend your head down to enter which symbolize how human should always humble in this life. Each room has its own exhibition. Old books, old clothes, old musical instruments and few more things.

After finishing our tour, Ahmed quickly asked us to go back to the van to continue our journey. Yes, not even a time to buy some souvenirs. I had to steal my own time by hurriedly went to the gift shops, grabbed some of the fridge magnet and ran to get back to the group. The rest of my family was unhappy coz I got to buy the souvenirs while they had to obediently walked to the van as instructed.

We drove around an hour before we stopped for our lunch at a rest area called Lalezar. With a huge mevlana statue doing the meditation pose by the road. We had something extra this time which was a long thin-crusted pizza stretching more than half of the table. As always, Ahmed asked for the place for us to pray and they have a small room without a heater for us to pray. We prayed jamak jemaah together but I started to notice something. Ayoh didn't say his takbir and it was confusing to know whether the sujud was finished or not. And ayoh started to speed up the pace of our prayers making Adam struggling to catch up. I knew that something was wrong with Ayoh. He even took off his scarf that was wrapping his neck during the prayer. After our prayers ended, I checked on Ayoh and he said his asthma was acting up. Ahmed was worried and asked us if we need to go to the hospital. Ayoh said he would be fine after he took his normal medicine which he brought with him.

We then moved back into our van and continue our journey towards Pamukkale. Maybe we could call it fortunate as with Ayoh getting the asthma attack, we did not have any place to visit in our plan that evening other than the journey to reach Pamukkale. So Ayoh just keep resting inside the van the whole journey.

Along the way, we could see the snowy mountain again and I asked Ahmed if we could stop anywhere or any rest area where the snow mountain is at our back since we thought it would be the least to have some snowy mountain background picture since Ahmed could not promise the 'snow'. He said he did stop for a picture with his past clients and playing snow by the road, but it turned chaotic when the kids started to run towards the road and almost hit by the cars. Hmmm...It's OK la since we well eventually playing with the snow at the snow peak.

It was getting dark and we had not yet arrived to our hotel. Ahmed let us use the restroom and suggested a local delicacy at our last rest area in Dinar. It's a has has yagi that is mixed with yogurt and honey. Has has yagi is a flower that has seeds that are planted with controlled permit as this plant has a similar affect as weed and canabis. The seeds were sold to a specific buyer and only the flower would be returned back to the farmers so that it could be used as a delicacy as I mentioned. Only I tried it after Ahmed eagerly asked us to try it.

And finally we arrived at our hotel in Pamukkale - Tripolis Hotel. It's quite a decent hotel. Just that we needed to walk a bit towards our hotel. I could see that there would be a bellydance event that night and I said to Adam "lets watch it". But after the walk to the room..perghhh..malas gila nak keluar balik. So we just had our rest for tomorrow. terhindar mata aku..hahahha

Fiya started to catch a fever and not feeling well. So she started to cry almost everytime she had the chance. This hotel was like a Birotatanegara for sure. So many Malaysian when we had our night here.

Received a parcel when I was at my parents' house. A small book of the detail translation of surah Al-Kahfi. Thanks to PPZ (Pusat Pungutan Zakat) for the yearly gift. And a beneficial one of course. My math teacher once told us before she started our math class about how the first ten verse could save you from Dajal's lure and seduction.

Zikir Imam Shafie sesat? Zikir tolak syurga?

Assalamualaikum.. On the way balik dari Sabak Bernam ke Bangi hati terasa melompat2 nak tulis pasal entri ni. First and foremost, aku nk tekankan di sini kenapa aku berani nak ulas pasal benda ni? Jadi kalau setakat pasal literasi perkataan, aku pun layak. Apa pun baca dulu lah ye. Zikir Imam Shafie yang dilabel sesat baru2 ni ialah zikir yg femes korang dengar dr kecik " Ilahi lastu lilfirdausi ahla.. wala aqwa alan naril jahim.. Allah Fahab li taubatau waghfir zunubi... Fainna tagho firuzzambil azimmmm " -maafla tak jumpa arab version nye- Bawah ni terjemahannya; Oh Tuhanku aku tidak layak untuk syurgaMu. Tetapi aku tidak pula sanggup menga
