Friday with Xiyad

Just got out from a meeting for an hour. Well, like usual, I would bring my 'doodling' book - a 2010 Shell's planner that I got during my previous project attachment 2 years ago. And these are some doodles that I managed to draw during the meeting. Kikiki..

Almost a month after Xiyad's first walking attempt and now he's starting to kick the ball instead of slapping it with his hands. The crawling has becoming less and less. At first, he just walks towards the ball and eventually the ball would be hit by his legs. But a few days after that when I put the ball in front of him and asked him to kick it, he showed the kicking motion with his left leg. Yeaa!!! He knows how to kick now!!

So far, we don't really being so 'busy' looking after him with his walking. He's a behaved boy for now. Even if he went to the kitchen by his own, he will come back to the living room after not more than 5 minutes. He would only climb the stairs if he knows one of us is upstairs. He will shout for us whenever he's already climbed halfway of the stairs and never attempt on his own to climb down the stairs. Good boy!!

 

This morning I tried something new. I put on his first blue shoes that I bought months ago and asked him to walk with me to the nursery. It's around 300m at least. Usually I carry him on my hands. So he walked by my side holding my index finger along the way. I kept telling him "Kalau penat berenti tau..bagitau", but he didn't show any of the signs. 

I just stopped for a while if I saw some birds so that Xiyad could adore them. He made noises whenever I asked him "see...burung..birds", "birds mana bird? burung mana burung?" And even I kinda concern if he would be tired of the walking, the more I worry the faster he walked..KAWAIIII~~~. In the end we manged to walk to the nursery without any stop or having to carry him. Yeay!!! 

So before I handed him to his nanny, I put him on my lap and massaged his legs, praising him for his determination. Yeayyy!!! Who knows this small steps would be the foundation of his strong athletic legs in the future =].
