Tomorrow would definitely be the start of our Eid al-mubarak - Ramadhan. A month full of blessing and the greatest annual chance we could have to get closer to the Creator. Most of us might say "Welcome Ramadhan!! Welcome" but only some of them really mean it. Some would just saying it because everybody does that.
I remember how I would welcome the Ramadhan during when I was a kid. My father would give us RM1 to each of us siblings so we could buy any 'jajan' that we want as treating the day for 'the last day to eat what we want'. We would buy twisties, Ice-cream, jeruk sengkuang and so many things. At that time 1 ringgit could buy so many things for us.
But mom would always say "It's not that you can't eat at all tomorrow. You could always buy the jajan anytime. You should be thinking on saving it for a greater good". Well, mom's advise somehow manage to persuade us. But the 1 ringgit was still used even if it wasn't for that one day before Ramadhan.
The first night of Terawih is like a syawal celebration in a way. It was the one night people would go to the mosque and surau to pray the first terawih with joys!! The mosques would usually full-house. And make sure tonight would be the same yah!!~~
I think I'm gonna share my childhood experience of fasting for this fasting month. It's so nice to float in my past remembering all those laughter, tears and joys.
To Wafa, be strong girl..like always!! We kinda share the same news. Yours are just a week after mine. Be strong!! Just try to not forget him. Always pray for his well-being there.
