Hit and run. Pity. Claimed under own insurance

9th April - I was on the bus towards Kuantan and just 10 minutes before that I received a text message from my wife that she and her sister is on their way to the bus stand to fetch me up before my mobile phone was ringing. It was my wife.

"Hello"
"Weh...orang langgar belakang. Kuat lak tu. Sakit dahi ni kena dashboard"
"Haaa?? then apa citer? sapa langgar?".I was like couldn't believe something like that happened.

They were stopping at the junction waiting for the green light. The car in front of them was a bit slow to move when the light changed and suddenly BAAMMMM!!, someone hit the rear. Panicked, they moved aside by the road hoping the one who ran into them would stop as well. But the car was vanished from their eyes speeding in the rainy night. The exhaust was fallen and dragged along the road.

The worst thing is that they didn't even know what hit them. So you can guess the registration number is too much to be asked. A towing service came to the rescue as fast as the lightning and claimed that he saw the plat number. Coincidentally he's a friend of my sister in-law's boss. So her boss fetched me from the station and we went to the police station.

But we didn't log the report because the driver needs to be sure that the number is the correct number that hit them. Plus, the towing guy said to tell the police that somebody gave us the number and just leaved the place. He didn't want to get involved. The police officer advised us to wait for 24 hours praying that the hitter would log a report withing that time.

 

Bestnya Keta Cembam (BKC) when we paid him a visit. Huh~~~ geleng kepala je ayah mertua ku.

 We stayed at a chalet that night. The next day, Cembam parents came with the required documents. We went to the garage and then decided to log the report. The tow guy said that the hitter was a black mercedes with registration numberWNJ858 has already logged a report. We were happy. But when we checked, Cembam's car number and the claimed WNJ858 was not in the database.

After further thinking, my father in-law asked us to just log the report and claim under our own insurance. Means, the hitter lepas camtu je. But then the officer wanted to see the car. We've already explained that the pictures of the car have been taken the other night. But he insisted. So, hours of waiting for the car and the report finally ended around 4 P.M.

Pwerghhh~~ A lesson to be learned on how to deal with this kind of situation in the future. Cembam kena sound kaw-kaw gak by my FIL. Ekekekeke. Now we are waiting for it to be fixed. The number given by the tow guy doesn't even exist in the system when we checked. Fart!! he just wanted to look like the savior whom we can trust so we would let our car fixed by his shop. Fart you!!
